Medication Aide
Course Description
This course prepares students to take the North Carolina Board of Nursing Medication Aide Certification Exam. The course will cover the six rights of medication administration for non-licensed personnel: medication administration via oral, topical and installation routes; medical asepsis; hand hygiene; medical terminology; and legal implications. Upon completion the students are eligible to take the Medication Aide Certification Exam through the North Carolina Board of Nursing.
Pre-Requisites
- High School Diploma (or equivalent diploma)
- Must be a Nurse Aide, a current Nurse Aide I student, or on Nurse Aide I Registry listing
